The Spa Manager is responsible for spearheading the opening and day-to-day operations of a world-class spa in a five-star hotel environment. This role requires a dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional spa hospitality expertise, and a proactive approach to delivering luxury experiences. The Spa Manager will oversee all aspects of spa operations, including guest satisfaction, financial performance, team development, and compliance with five-star service protocols 

Experience in 5* segment preferable and a flexible attitude is required to meet the needs of a growing business beyond the tasks included below. 

 

Key Job Responsibilities   

 

Operational Leadership 

  • Launch and oversee the spa's opening, ensuring alignment with five-star hotel standards & Brand partner.  

  • Develop and implement operational protocols & procedures to ensure a seamless guest experience as well as consistency in service delivery and operational processes.  

  • Maintain the highest standards for spa services, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. 

  • Proactively address operational challenges and develop solutions to enhance efficiency. 

  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of any staff under your direct control, and you must therefore have knowledge of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and relevant instructions to your area of work. 

 

Financial Management 

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. 

  • Monitor and analyze P&L statements, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded. 

  • Optimize sales performance in spa treatments & retail products. 

  • Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service excellence. 

 

Team Leadership 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a highly skilled team, including therapists, front desk / sales, and other team members. 

  • Foster a motivating and collaborative work environment that promotes team success. 

  • Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide regular coaching and feedback. 

  • Uphold Five-Star standards through ongoing staff training and development. 

 

 

Guest Experience 

  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering personalized, luxury experiences. 

  • Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining the hotel's reputation. 

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain a high-profile clientele, including VIP guests, journalists, and influencers. 

  • Innovate and implement new spa services. 

  • Monitor the consistency of guest experiences in line with brand promises. 

 

Strategic Planning & Marketing 

  • Increase spa traffic and revenue through creative and effective offers. 

  • Analyze market trends to stay ahead in luxury spa offerings and experiences. 

  • Competitor checks to ensure pricing and offering is in line with the competition. 

  • Inventory & Resource Management 

  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and procurement processes. 

  • Manage maintenance schedules for equipment and treatment rooms to ensure operational excellence. 

  • Control expenses related to inventory and supplies while maintaining premium quality. 

 

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, Spa Management or a related field or equivalent experience.  

  • At least 3 years of experience managing operations in a luxury spa or five-star resort environment & proven achievement in sales.  

  • Proven success in spa pre-opening and post-launch operations would be a great asset.  

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to create and execute strategic plans. 

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of team-building and motivation. 

  • Expertise in budget management, revenue generation, and achieving financial goals. 

  • Strong communication skills to successfully engage stakeholders across the business. 

  • Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders.  

  • Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics. 

  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging trends in brands and guest experiences. 

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improvement. 

  • Being flexible to adapt to where support is needed
