Sourcing Coordinator, Instant Quote

Xometry is looking to expand the Sourcing Team by adding a Sourcing Coordinator dedicated to providing best-in-class service for our expanding group of global Partners and Customers. The Sourcing Coordinator will work cross functionally to execute a variety of service functions in an effort to create a frictionless order experience for both the Partner Network and our customers. The Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that jobs offered to the partner network are accepted in a timely manner and are placed at the best possible cost. This person monitors and reports the status of job offers, negotiates with partners on counter offers and escalate issues that need to be resolved.

Responsibilities:

• Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
• Actively monitor job board to understand status and feedback on all offers
• Keep track of partner offers - price and lead time
• Continuously update job offer tracking report
• Negotiate with partners on pricing and lead time
• Monitor for DFM feedback and discuss with partners
• Notify the Project Engineer regarding DFM feedback
• Coordinate orders that need decisions, daily with Operations and Sales Management
• Coordinate with post processing shops
• Contacts vendors and follows-up with carriers to ensure deliveries are on schedule
• Performs all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures

• Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously
• Able to negotiate and solve problems
• Proficiency in computer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the Internet
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with large diverse teams

Preferred Skills: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field preferred 
• Knowledge of machined parts/machining
