Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a strategic sourcing resource supporting multiple pharmacy aggregation groups by delivering contracting strategies that drive supply chain cost reductions and maximize delivered value. You will contribute across the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including opportunity identification, contract strategy development, negotiations, and implementation. You will partner closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop customized contract strategies that reduce spend, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen client satisfaction while building trusted advisor relationships in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze hospital purchase and contract data to develop common contracting strategies across multiple healthcare systems.

  • Identify supply chain cost reduction opportunities through product and purchasing standardization.

  • Facilitate group discussions and support development of contracting strategies.

  • Present identified savings opportunities to client committees and task force teams.

  • Negotiate contract enhancements and customized agreements with suppliers.

  • Develop project plans to achieve defined savings and sourcing goals.

  • Interpret financial analyses and market dynamics to inform contract strategy recommendations.

  • Communicate sourcing successes, risks, and opportunities to Vizient leadership and client stakeholders.

  • Conduct ongoing price monitoring and contract maintenance to support market-relevant pricing.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in healthcare contracting, sourcing, supply chain, or a supplier organization preferred.

  • Demonstrated negotiation and project management capabilities.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial, pricing, and market data.

  • Willingness to adapt to AI-enabled tools and evolving systems.

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and operate effectively in a matrixed environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
