Experian is looking for an experienced and motivated Solutions Engineer who has a unique balance of technology transformation and relationships. You will partner with clients, sales, and several teams across our organization to create scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address client needs. These efforts will result in generating new revenue through the Bureau Composer platform for Experian. Main activities include presales support, leading the delivery of both pre-configured and tailored solutions for Experian's clients and post-implementation support.

You will have a desire to work with clients across multiple industries to solve their challenges. Understand mid- and large-scale consumer lending platforms/solutions. You will have experience managing large-scale system transformations. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical and program management skills honed and developing new ones, so you can contribute to technical architecture discussions. You will take part in solution design exercises, creating world-class solutions built by Experian. Move fluidly from the big picture to details and help the engineering teams to provide complex and strategic solutions within deadlines.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical lead for pre-sales and post-sales engagements, applying engineering principles to design, prototype, and deliver complex software and cloud-based solutions. We are looking for deep domain expertise in a related field and demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable architectures. This is a fully remote role, and you will report to the Solutions Design and Delivery Consultant.

You'll have opportunity to:

  • Document and analyze client requirements and contribute to end-to-end solutions encompassing cloud infrastructure, microservices, data integration, and security.
  • Lead requirements sessions and develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and technical specifications.
  • Apply concepts in distributed systems, network protocols, and data analytics to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D teams to align customer needs with product roadmaps.
  • Oversee solution implementation plans, coordinate teams (developers, QA, DevOps), and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops for executives and technical partners.
  • Provide ongoing technical support during deployment, integration, and troubleshooting phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited U.S. institution or foreign equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of full-time professional experience in solutions engineering, systems architecture, or a related discipline.
  • The applicant will have knowledge of the following areas, though direct experience or the ability to perform these tasks is not required:
    • Principles and best practices in designing and deploying cloud architectures
    • Concepts related to developing microservices and API-driven integrations
    • Experience with advanced data analytics, machine learning frameworks, and big-data platforms.
  • The ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to distributed systems, reliable system design, and improving system performance.
  • Working knowledge of security practices, including identity and access management, and awareness of compliance standards (e.g. FCRA, FACTA).
  • Advanced ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Proven track record of leading technical engagements and driving customer success through innovative engineering solutions.
