Solutions Design Manager, Warehousing & Logistics

Iron Mountain is seeking an strategic Solutions Design Manager, Warehousing & Logistics to join our Global Solutions Design team.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to architect high-impact contract logistics and warehousing solutions that directly bridge client vision with operational reality. By transforming complex customer data into efficient designs, layout models, and commercial strategies, you will play a crucial part in setting the standard for our supply chain execution.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will:

  • Develop tailored logistics designs: Partner with Business Development to build scalable warehousing, equipment, and cost models for dedicated and shared site operations.

  • Optimize operational layouts and workflows: Analyze client data, process maps, and labor productivity using tools like AutoCAD to maximize warehouse efficiency.

  • Support project transitions: Collaborate with Project Management to guide designs from initial concept seamlessly through to steady-state operations.

  • Build financial feasibility models: Perform cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and detailed pricing proposals to ensure commercial alignment.

  • Lead technical client presentations: Present design concepts and engineering justifications directly to clients, adjusting solutions based on strategic feedback.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a solutions design role within contract logistics, warehousing, or a related industry.

  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard Contract Logistics Cost Models and methodologies such as MOST or MTM.

  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, simulation software, or optimization models.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

Reasonably expected salary range: $142,100.00 - $189,400.00

Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
