Role Responsibilities
In your role as a Solutions Consultant, you will:
- Build data pipelines and applications to stream and process financial datasets.
- Lead data modelling activities to capture and model data requirements, business rules, and logical and physical models to support reporting solutions and downstream processes
- Define, build and publish reporting capabilities in leading BI/reporting tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Design, code, and tune ETL pipelines using Boomi, Talend, Informatica or similar technologies.
- Data profiling and source-to-target mapping (including complex business rules)
- Apply modern data management toolsets and methods to design, build, implement, and optimize data solutions of all types including data warehouses, data pipelines, data cleansing.
- Define and socialise technical approaches for SDLC, data migration, integrations and reporting supported by a Solution Architect, the client and project management team.
- Analyze, review and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Drive the documentation and development according to specifications and standards.
- Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with internal and client peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.
- Support Alpha’s internal product/accelerator development for future client projects.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications)
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis & modelling, reporting, architecture roles, including experience with transformational efforts.
- Experience in the Asset & Wealth Management industry.
- Experience in data mining, profiling, and analysis.
- Experience with complex data modelling, ETL design (AWS Glue, Talend, Azure Data Factory), and using large databases in a business environment.
- Experience with deploying compute and orchestrating workloads directly in Azure or AWS, or platforms such as Databricks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or similar language preferred.
- Understanding of financial technology vendors and data elements similar to Bloomberg, Blackrock, Simcorp or Charles River.
- Experience with the following would as an advantage:
- Data handling with AI/ML: Python, R
- ETL: Talend, Boomi, Databricks, Azure Data Factory
- Low Code platforms: MS PowerApps, Mendix, Outsystems
- CRM: Salesforce, MS Dynamics
- Workflow: Unqork, Appian, Boomi Flow
- Marketing Automation: Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua
- CMS: Adobe Experience Manager, Optimizely, Kurtosys
Compensation and Perks:
The anticipated base salary for this role varies based on geographic location and is structured across three compensation zones. These zones reflect local market conditions and cost of labor. Geographic placement is determined by the employee’s primary work location.
Zone A | $113,000 - $153,900
Applies to candidates working in designated high-cost metropolitan areas, including: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; and Washington, DC, as well as remote roles based in Massachusetts or the New York Tri-State Area.
Zone B | $98,000 - $128,250
Applies to candidates working in key metropolitan markets, including: Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA, as well as remote roles based in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Colorado.
Zone C | $90,000 - $118,750

Toronto | CAD 137,800 - CAD 161,500

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. We are committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices across all locations.
