Solutions Architect

Position Overview:
As a Solutions Architect you'll play a crucial role in bridging our software development team and our mostly semi-technical eCommerce merchant clients. You'll serve as a "translator," combining the roles of technologist, business analyst, and salesperson. This position requires devising and articulating effective solutions, even in challenging situations where there are no predefined answers. Your ability to communicate between developers and clients will be essential to deliver accurate and implementable solutions to meet our client's business goals.
- Support the sales team by conducting discovery sessions, writing proposals, and estimating efforts for new sales opportunities.
- Lead client interviews and workshops to identify business objectives and document requirements for Adobe Commerce and Shopify projects.
- Identify business process improvements and technology solutions to meet documented requirements.
- Present solutions to clients with confidence and clarity.
- Collaborate with technical leads to estimate project efforts and manage scope within timelines and budget constraints.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and QA team members to ensure project success.
- Stay updated on eCommerce industry trends, focusing on Adobe Commerce and Shopify ecosystems.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Adobe Commerce and Shopify (including Shopify Plus) features and distinctions between editions.
- Stay informed about partners, products, and services relevant to client business problems.
- Provide internal feedback to improve methodologies for collecting business requirements.
- Keep all documentation organized and curate/share solutions knowledge within the organization.
- Cultivate professional relationships with key team members.
- Understand Classy Llama's vision, objectives, processes, and team dynamics to facilitate client success.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Software Architect, or similar role.
- Minimum of 10 years combined experience in project delivery, software development, and analysis/configuration/support across business systems.
- Proficiency in Adobe Commerce, Shopify, or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of both business and technology principles.
- Technical background and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sell effectively and make clients comfortable with proposals.

- Shopify Plus Business Consultant or Shopify Developer Certification
- Adobe Commerce Certified Solutions Specialist
- Experience with Liquid, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience with clients in a web development company.
- Prior experience in technical sales and web software development is preferred.
- General knowledge of Internet marketing practices and principles.
- The Solutions Architect reports to the Director of Solutions while being assigned to multiple projects managed by an assigned project manager.
