About Vic.ai

Vic.ai is transforming accounts payable through intelligent automation. Our AI-powered platform helps finance teams automate complex invoice processing, improve accuracy, increase efficiency, and gain greater control over their AP operations.

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Solutions Architect who can bridge the gap between our customers’ business needs and our technology. This person will bring deep accounts payable expertise, strong technical and analytical capabilities, and a consultative mindset to help customers design solutions that deliver measurable business value.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, asking the right questions, and turning ambiguity into clear, scalable solutions.

The Role

As a Solutions Architect, you will work closely with customers, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective Vic.ai solutions.

You will be a trusted technical and functional advisor throughout the customer journey - helping customers understand what is possible, identifying the best approach to solving their challenges, and ensuring that proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with the capabilities of the Vic.ai platform.

You will combine deep AP process knowledge, technical fluency, solution design, and AI expertise to help customers rethink how their finance operations can work.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Sales and customers to understand business objectives, current-state processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.

  • Lead discovery sessions and translate complex business requirements into clear solution designs.

  • Bring deep expertise in accounts payable and finance processes, including invoice processing, approvals, exceptions, vendor management, and related workflows.

  • Design solutions that leverage Vic.ai's capabilities while balancing customer requirements, scalability, maintainability, and time to value.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on how AI can transform AP processes and help customers identify opportunities to move beyond simple automation.

  • Develop solution architectures, process flows, requirements documentation, and other materials needed to clearly communicate proposed solutions.

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to evaluate technical feasibility, identify product gaps, and communicate customer requirements.

  • Partner with Implementation teams to ensure that solutions designed during the sales process can be successfully delivered.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, edge cases, and potential downstream impacts before they become implementation issues.

  • Participate in customer presentations, technical discussions, demonstrations, and solution workshops.

  • Help customers understand tradeoffs and make informed decisions rather than simply accepting every requested customization.

  • Contribute to improving our solution design methodology, documentation, and best practices as the organization scales.

  • Develop reusable solution patterns that can accelerate future implementations and improve consistency across customers.

  • Stay current on AI capabilities and actively experiment with new AI tools to improve your own productivity and the quality of your work.

  • Use AI as a core part of your workflow for research, analysis, documentation, problem solving, and solution development.

  • Share effective AI practices and approaches with colleagues and help raise the overall level of AI fluency across the organization.

What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience in accounts payable, finance operations, ERP, AP automation, or a closely related domain.

  • Experience in a Solutions Architect, Solution Consultant, Technical Consultant, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or similar customer-facing role.

  • Deep understanding of AP processes and the systems that support them.

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions.

  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break complex problems into manageable components.

  • Excellent discovery skills - you know how to ask the questions that uncover the real problem, not just the stated requirement.

  • Experience working with ERP systems and understanding how financial data and workflows move between systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts simply.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong judgment around when to configure, when to customize, and when to challenge a customer requirement.

  • A consultative mindset and genuine curiosity about how businesses operate.

  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to use AI extensively in your day-to-day work.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...
  • You understand AP deeply enough to recognize when a customer is solving the wrong problem.

  • You can move comfortably between a CFO-level business conversation and a technical discussion with an engineer.

  • You naturally look for patterns and scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy figuring things out when there isn't an obvious answer.

  • You challenge assumptions respectfully and aren't afraid to tell a customer or internal stakeholder when there is a better approach.

  • You are excited about what AI makes possible and are constantly looking for ways to apply it to your work.

  • You care about the customer's actual business outcome - not simply getting a solution implemented.

  • You are a builder who enjoys creating structure, processes, and reusable approaches where they don't yet exist.

How We Work

At Vic.ai, we believe how we work is just as important as what we accomplish. Our values guide how we make decisions, work with one another, and serve our customers:

People First
We care about the people behind the work. We support each other, assume positive intent, and recognize that great results come from great teams.

Honesty is Magic
We communicate openly and directly. We would rather have a difficult conversation today than allow a small problem to become a big one tomorrow.

Integrity is Fundamental
We do the right thing even when it is harder. We hold ourselves accountable to our customers, our colleagues, and the commitments we make.

Action over Motion
We value progress and outcomes over activity for activity's sake. We move with urgency, make thoughtful decisions, and learn by doing.

Enjoy the Journey
Building something meaningful is hard work. We celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and make room for humor and connection along the way.

AI is How We Work

AI is not a side project at Vic.ai - it is becoming fundamental to how we operate.

We expect every employee to actively incorporate AI into their work, continuously explore new tools and approaches, and look for opportunities to improve the speed, quality, and impact of what they do.

For this role in particular, we expect you to be an AI-native problem solver. You should be comfortable using AI to research, analyze, document, prototype, communicate, and solve problems - and equally comfortable helping our customers understand how AI can fundamentally change the way their finance teams operate.

Why Vic.ai?

This is an opportunity to join a company that is redefining how finance teams work. You'll have the opportunity to work with sophisticated customers, solve meaningful and complex business problems, and help shape how AI is applied to one of the most important functions within every organization.

You won't simply be implementing software. You'll be helping customers rethink what is possible.
