As a Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of forming and executing the design, implementation, and culture of delivery for our projects. You will mentor and coach teams, making others around you better. You will engage with clients, and ensure that work is delivered on time and on budget. You are comfortable being a player-coach, equally excited to work on project strategy as you are to write code.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with team members on building, testing, and releasing functionality to clients.
  • Aid clients to elicit and clarify application requirements.
  • Participate in and lead daily team activities and ceremonies.
  • Quickly ramp up on new technologies and client-specific domains.
  • Direct Agile technical delivery activities and provide peer level mentorship.
  • Oversee operationalizing, monitoring, and maintaining distributed systems.
  • Manage and coach members of a team.
  • Support additional internal company needs as necessary.

Who you are:

  • A U.S. citizen (This does not include green card and work visa sponsorship.)
  • Based in the U.S., preferable the Washington DC metropolitan area.
  • If not based in the Washington DC metropolitan area, must be able to travel once a month on average.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a remote-first culture.
  • A strong collaborator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thoughtful, adaptable, and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

What you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer across a variety of project types. You understand the strengths and weaknesses of different tech stacks and can determine what the right tool is for the job.
  • 5+ years of experience in Object-oriented Programming using Java.
  • Experience managing client relationships as a technical advisor.
  • Experience leading teams or projects, and a desire to grow in this capacity.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, collaborating with designers, business analysts, back-end developers, and others.
  • Prior experience in a consulting business or client facing role.

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $230,000.
