About the job:

Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.  Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.  Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.  May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.  May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.  May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.  

What you will do:

  • The Account Solutions Architect (ASA) serves as the CTO of the account, leading the technical strategy and execution across Red Hat’s full portfolio for a set of named enterprise customers. 

  • Acting as the primary technical leader aligned to Account Executives (AEs), the ASA orchestrates the entire Red Hat technical sales ecosystem — including product specialists, consulting, partner architects, and field engineers — to drive adoption, expansion, and customer success.

  • This is a field-facing role, requiring deep enterprise IT expertise and executive-level presence to understand the customer’s business drivers, current architecture, and transformation goals. 

  • The ASA owns the technical account plan, ensuring it aligns to Red Hat’s go-to-market priorities and the customer’s roadmap. 

  • They identify opportunities, remove technical blockers, and position Red Hat as a strategic innovation partner, not just a vendor.

  • The Senior Account Solutions Architect is more than a technical expert — they are a strategic influencer, a technical quarterback, and a business enabler who ensures Red Hat is uniquely positioned to help customers achieve both IT and business transformation goals.

What you will bring:

  • Strategic Enablement Leadership: Drive the development and execution of technical enablement plans for key partners, ensuring alignment with Red Hat’s business priorities and regional growth objectives.

  • Solution Design & Innovation: Architect and deliver customized, scalable solutions that address complex business and technical challenges across hybrid cloud environments.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead collaboration across Red Hat’s technical ecosystem — including product specialists, consulting, and support — to accelerate customer adoption and ensure long-term success.

  • Technical Mentorship: Coach and develop junior architects and partner engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and best practices within the team.

  • Hands-On Evangelism: Facilitate technical workshops, RHUGs, community events, proof-of-concepts, and joint innovation initiatives with partners and customers to showcase the value of Red Hat’s technologies.

The salary range for this position is $166,070.00 - $265,540.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
