Solution Architect / Technical Lead — Cloud & Integrations

US Based (Remote)

About TechTorch

At TechTorch, we’re building the future of intelligent work. Our mission is to help companies design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate complex, real-world workflows — delivering reliability, measurable ROI, and massive efficiency gains.

Here, you won’t just be playing with prompts or running endless proofs of concept. You’ll ship production-grade AI systems that solve real problems across industries.

You’ll join a hands-on, fast-moving, ownership-driven team that thrives on building quickly, iterating fast, and seeing results in days — not months.

The Role

We deliver AI, cloud, and data solutions for our clients - modern platforms built on cloud infrastructure with a web of enterprise and third-party integrations. We're looking for a hands-on Solution Architect / Technical Lead to own cloud and integration architecture end to end, and to keep the build moving day to day.

This is not an ivory-tower architect role. You'll set the technical direction and drive it through the team: crafting technical design, unblocking developers, running down decisions with client-side enterprise architects and integration partners, and keeping track of delivery progress. You'll partner closely with Sr. Devs and other architects so the whole system holds together.

What You'll Own
  • Cloud architecture — secure data layers, service design, hosting, CI/CD, deployment patterns, and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, resilience).

  • Integration architecture — designing and driving integrations across enterprise and third-party systems. Making point-to-point vs. gateway calls, defining payload contracts, protecting front-end SLAs, and debugging connectivity when things break.

  • Technical delivery leadership — translating architecture into deliverable technical designs; guiding developers through implementation; driving sprint hygiene and execution.

  • Cross-organization coordination — working directly with client enterprise architects, integration SMEs, and vendors to close technical decisions and dependencies.

  • Architecture governance — maintaining decision records, keeping technical design documentation current, and flagging technical risks early.

What You Bring

Non-negotiable

  • 5+ years as a cloud architect on AWS. Hands-on experience is a must, you won't be successful if you've only diagramed from the sidelines.

  • Understanding of Cloud networking and security. VPC, IAM, and the security realities of handling sensitive data.

  • Hands-on cloud application design. Frontend applications on cloud platforms, plus architecture for headless, serverless, and event-driven applications.

  • Experience in Data (Data science, Data engineering).

Core

  • DevOps-driven architecture — infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD.

  • Integration architecture — REST/SOAP API design, integration patterns, buses/gateways, point-to-point vs. gateway trade-offs, payload/contract design, and debugging integration connectivity.

  • Engineering background — prior hands-on experience as an engineer with Python, frontend frameworks, or full-stack development.

  • Data modeling — sound grasp of data models across integrated systems.

  • CRM architecture — familiarity with CRM platforms, automation, and the underlying data model.

Disposition

  • A hands-on technical lead — happy owning architecture and getting into the details, unblocking developers, and driving day-to-day delivery. You lead by doing.

  • Proven ability to coordinate across organizations — aligning with client-side architects, integration partners, and vendors, and holding technical gates without inflaming relationships.

  • Bonus: regulated-industry delivery experience (e.g., HIPAA, consent flows, sensitive-data handling).

Working Style

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and client relationship. You'll thrive if you're comfortable being the technical authority and the person who quietly makes sure delivery lands — direct, decision-focused, and calm under pressure.
What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary ($175,000 - $205,000 USD) dependent on experience

  • 401(k) with company matching

  • Full benefits package

  • Flexible, remote-first work environment with high-performance expectations and autonomy.

  • A team that takes AI tooling seriously and expects you to integrate it into your work.

  • High-autonomy, high-ownership work across the full arc of real client problems.

  • Access to the full modern data and AI stack — no one-tool shops.

  • Exposure to top-tier private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
