This is a 100% remote position.


About your new role:


As a Software Sales Overlay Specialist, you will play a critical role in accelerating revenue by partnering with Channel Directors and cross-functional teams to drive strategic SaaS opportunities. Rather than owning the entire sales cycle, you will overlay multiple territories, providing subject-matter expertise, solution positioning, and deal strategy to help close complex, high-value opportunities.


This role is ideal for a motivated software sales professional with strong product knowledge and experience influencing enterprise or mid-market SaaS deals. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers and internal teams through deep discovery, solution fit, value articulation, and competitive differentiation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-sell with Channel Directors to influence and support SaaS opportunities across regions, segments, or verticals.
  • Lead deep discovery, articulate solution value, and support demos and evaluations with Sales Engineering.
  • Serve as a product and industry expert, enabling sellers with positioning, messaging, and best practices.
  • Create and refine sales assets such as presentations, ROI frameworks, and competitive materials.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and GTM teams to align on strategy and share customer insights.
  • Support accurate forecasting for your solution area and help the broader sales team achieve revenue goals.
  • Contribute to a strong sales culture through knowledge sharing and cross-functional projects.


What you'll need for success:

  • 5–8+ years of SaaS or software sales experience, ideally in an overlay, specialist, or co-selling role.
  • Proven ability to influence complex SaaS deals within enterprise or mid-market accounts.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect customer problems to product value and ROI.
  • Comfortable leading product and solution conversations, and collaborating effectively with sales engineers and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to create or leverage effective sales collateral and enablement tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messaging to executives, technical stakeholders, and business users.
  • Highly self-motivated, accountable, and adaptable within fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.


Compensation includes a competitive base salary ranging between $90,000 to $110,000 plus commission, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $180,000 to $225,000+.
