Job Description SummaryThe Software Marketing Manager leads the creation and execution of marketing campaigns focused on promoting Consulting Services portfolio of software solutions- PlanOS. This role will work closely with the Marketing Director, Product Development Team and Commercial Leaders to maintain, attract and grow the software customer base.
The Software Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping define value propositions for PlanOS, incorporating customer VoC, market research and competitive analysis. This role will also own the development of sales enablement and marketing tools focused on communicating the vision and value of our software solutions.
To excel in the role of a Software Marketing Manager, you are expected to possess in-depth knowledge of software market dynamics in energy sector, competitive landscape, and best marketing practices.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role is a vital part of commercial team in a fast-paced environment. The ability to manage competing priorities with a growth mindset is critical.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Development of marketing plans, including value proposition, for PlanOS and other software solutions; Leading the evaluation of market research, market positioning, promotions associated with assigned scope.
  • Research software solutions market trends in power generation, transmission planning and distribution planning industry ; identify customer needs, pain points, and buying behaviors
  • Identify the decision makers among our target audience and create buyer personas that we will address with our marketing messages
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product offering, markets, sales processes and customer groups.
  • Define and execute on marketing activities to drive the acquisition of new customers and the retention of existing users
  • Conduct and maintain competitive intelligence for global market segments
  • Work closely with the product development, commercial, and other marketing team members to establish clear product positioning and messaging guidelines
  • Define and execute on marketing activities to drive the acquisition of new customers and the retention of existing users
  • Develop and maintain software marketing content on website, collateral, sales enablement materials, etc. (including sales decks, brochures, and other collateral)
  • Develop and maintain commercial training tools
  • Manage email nurture and lead gen campaigns
  • Promote and manage the execution of user group meetings and software customer training sessions
  • Manage MQL process and workflow
  • Travel as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 4 years of experience in Software Marketing.
  • Strong time management and project management skill set
  • Strategist-level knowledge and experience in marketing communications
  • Experience with CRM, Marketing Platforms (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.)
  • Detailed-oriented, analytical, and strategic mindset

Desired Characteristics

  • Hands-on exposure or experience in Software for Grid Planning ( Transmission and/or Distribution)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $113,000 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual target bonus.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $85,300.00 and $142,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
