Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Prioritize understanding customers and their basic use cases by constantly engaging with all stakeholders across geographies. Evaluate problems within different layers of the architecture in-depth to ensure “trust” with customers is upheld. Design and implement distributed systems to deliver security controls at the network level in Salesforce’s public and private clouds. Develop Java based software solutions and micro services to support our network security solutions across multiple datacenter distributed platforms and user interfaces. Research and implement new networking security solutions and platforms for intra- and cross-datacenter network flows. Advance and operate these security platforms in a full DevOps model. Operate in an Agile development environment, including participating in daily scrums and agile sprint-based development ceremonies. Support the team’s engineering and operational excellence by performing code reviews, readiness reviews and mentoring junior team members. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Object-oriented programming – Java and Python; (2) SOAP and REST APIs; (3) Software Quality/Testing; (4) SQL; (5) Amazon Web Services (AWS); and (6) Database Management Systems. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Salary: $157,600.00 - $236,500.00 per annum.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $236,500.
