The Opportunity:
We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.
As part of the Payment Product Development team, you will be at the forefront in building the next generation of systems that provide connectivity and access into Visa. The access systems are fundamental to the Visa Business and amongst only a handful of the most mission critical systems at Visa. You will deliver access solutions that fit into the wider efforts to re-engineer Visa’s core processing systems. You need to have passion for software analysis, design and implementation. As part of Payment Product Development group, you will join an outstanding and expanding software engineering team. Nothing less than absolute success is required. The position is based in Highlands Ranch, CO.
The Work itself:
- Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
- Demonstrate relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements.
- Design and develop applications using Object Oriented methodologies
- Code & unit test system components and applications in a range of programming languages
- Leverage generative AI tools and APIs to enhance software development workflows and product features
- Quickly gain domain expertise in critical application areas to SME level
- Practice software development best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, secure coding practices, integration and regression tests etc.
- Work independently with minimal guidance becoming a mentor and role model for other team members
- Proactively work to identify issues and provide solutions for the same

QualificationsBasic Qualification
•Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualification
•2 or more years of work experience'
•BS in Computer Science
•A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about technologies and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale
•Comfort in pushing the boundaries, ‘hacking’ beyond traditional solutions
•Proficient in design and implementation using Java programming language
•Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) concepts
•Familiarity with utilizing GenAI tools and frameworks within software applications
•Experience with Unix/Linux OS
•UI development skills using frameworks such as Angular and Node JS is a plus
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills are a pre-requisite
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 79,900.00 to 113,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
