Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Must have a very good understanding of cloud technologies and provisioning and using cloud resources while building the platforms and applications. Design and deploy cloud infrastructures for provisioning services including but not limited to AI services, networking, storage and compute.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills and technologies: Working with operating systems such as Linux, Unix and Windows; Experience with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) using Agile methodology, Agile processes and JIRA Agile management; Application architecture disciplines, infrastructure architecture disciplines, microservices, Apache Kafka and Docker; Developing applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Python, Shell Scripting, SQL, REST, SOAP, Maven, JSON, and Kubernetes; Experience in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) deploying applications using Jenkins; Utilizing and provisioning AWS Cloud Services, including but not limited to S3, KMS, Roles, Policies, Security Groups, and DynamoDB; Developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Step functions with Python; Experience with Applications monitoring and creating dashboards using Splunk, Grafana, and Datadog; Developing automated test coverage for code, including Junit, automated testing, functional testing, performance testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing; Experience using Terraform for provisioning resources and cloud infrastructure; and Experience with authentication and authorization for application security.
