Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, concise, readable, state-of-the-art code that follows common design patterns while adhering to the best engineering practices
  • Understand business needs & write efficient code that works well with the current architecture
  • Ensure quality & confidence in software by writing effective automated unit tests
  • Participate in code reviews, tech talks, pair programming & other collaborative practices


Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a Quantitative field of scientific study
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Must have hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot/REST Microservices
  • Experience with at least one relational database (queries, stored procedures)
  • Working knowledge of Angular (strong preference) or React framework & TypeScript
  • Be able to write efficient code
  • Experience in CI/CD
  • Must be an effective communicator and team player
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams


Desired Characteristics

  • Experience writing end-to-end (E2E) tests using tools like Cypress, Playwright
  • Exposure to AWS

  • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.


This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
