Hybrid work
Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Austin, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, Mexico City and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in our Austin, TX office.

About this role
Udemy is searching for a Software Engineer II who embodies our values of embody ownership, acting as one team, relentless focus, and never stop learning. We expect you to be a practitioner of ReactJS, Typescript, MobX, NPM, and DataDog or similar monitoring tools to create performant web experiences. We expect a working knowledge of GraphQL, CSS, NextJS and Webpack. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable addressing moderately complex problems, including navigating projects with ambiguous parameters.

We do this by leveraging our platform from recommendations, skills guidance, and GenAI, to name a few. You would be instrumental in driving experiences that enable learners to achieve their goals and improve their lives through learning.
What you'll be doing

Implementing product features using your practitioner skills in ReactJS, Typescript, MobX, NPM, and DataDog to meet our team's objectives.

Using GraphQL, CSS, NextJS and Webpack to ensure smooth execution of product features.

Generating value across multiple teams and applying basic concepts and procedures under guidance.

Following general instructions on routine work from your manager, and being able to comprehend detailed instructions on new assignments or projects.

Optimizing code and processes to help your team achieve their goals.
What you’ll have
