As a Software Engineer for Mobile App, you will develop, test, and optimize the first version of a mobile app using React Native, ensuring quality standards and collaboration with design and backend teams.
Position Responsibilities
- Build, test, and ship the first version of the App in React Native (Expo).
- Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code that’s optimized for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product and design to develop features end-to-end—from API design to UI polish.
- Integrate third-party and internal APIs, health data systems (e.g., HealthKit), and AI-driven experiences using LLMs and on-device intelligence.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, and CI/CD in a new mobile stack.
- Continuously improve app performance, security, and scalability.
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping React Native apps (Expo or bare workflow).
- Fluent in TypeScript, React, and modern React Native tooling (Redux Toolkit, Reanimated, etc.).
- Strong understanding of API integration, concurrency, and async data flows in mobile environments.
- Experience collaborating with design and backend teams on complex product surfaces.
- Demonstrated passion for creating exceptional user experiences — fast, elegant, and data-driven.
- Experience with HealthKit, CoreBluetooth, or wearable integrations.
- Background in health tech, data visualization, or biometric systems.
- Exposure to AI/LLM integration (OpenAI, LangChain, on-device inference).
- Contributions to open-source or notable personal projects.
- Experience with secure data handling and HIPAA-compliant architectures.
