Job Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance efforts for software development projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables through comprehensive testing strategies and methodologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and JMeter to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct functional and performance testing to validate software functionality and performance under various conditions, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Develop detailed test plans and execute test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of software features and requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Prepare and present test reports and documentation, providing insights and recommendations for software improvements.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of code development within Cypress to read, modify, and break down code, enabling the testing of various scenarios.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation and performance testing.
- Proficiency in Cypress and JMeter for test automation and performance testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript and Java, , with extensive test automation experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL web services, including API testing and automation.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Possess strong communication skills for executive-level interactions, excellent organizational and project management abilities to handle competing priorities under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of collaboration and partnership building.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- SDET Certification.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
