As part of the Cloud Infrastructure team at Tinder, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the systems that support hundreds of millions of active users each month. We're a relatively small, tight-knit group of curious and pragmatic software engineers who are passionate about automation, scalability, and empowering product engineering teams with the tools they need to build efficiently at scale. We're looking for a seasoned, passionate, and curious software engineer, someone who thrives in both collaborative environments and autonomous work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on a high impact, greenfield projectBuild highly reliable software solutions
- Work on a cutting edge Kubernetes and Envoy service-mesh stack
- Collaborate with various technical and functional teams across our company
- Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
- Recruit, encourage and develop other team members
What we’re looking for:
- 3-5+ years of software development experience
- 1-2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud providers
- Strong communication skills and a passion to drive projects from start to finish
- Good experience with backend languages like Python, Go and Java
- Excellent knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
Bonus points if you have:
- Docker experienceTerraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible experience
- Kubernetes, Envoy, or service-mesh experience
- Experience managing a CI/CD platform (Buildkite, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.)
- Experience with cloud networking (VPC, ELB, Route53/DNS, etc.)
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or similar subject area
