Job Description:
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Software Engineer II. Developing software for highly scalable automated systems to improve the security of our products and platforms. Maintaining and enhancing products, providing key performance insights for customers. Building data analysis and visualization tools to help customers and internal teams understand the health of products. Delivering full-stack software development from front-end to application framework to data management. Becoming a subject matter expert by researching relevant technologies to provide insight into further product enhancements. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to design and execute best solutions. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States. [AG0524]

Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or Telecommunications Engineering. 
Must have: Completion of a university-level course, internship, thesis, or research project involving the following: Strong mathematical fundamentals in linear algebra and differential equations; Mathematical modeling of systems; Object Oriented Programming; C# programming language; Data structures and algorithms; and Parameterization in simulation software.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $114275-$171000 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
