Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking a Java API Software Engineer who will be responsible for managing the entire life-cycle of APIs, from design and development to deployment and maintenance. You will work with various application teams to understand their business needs and requirements for API implementation. In addition, you will ensure that API documentation is up-to-date and lead development reviews to ensure that code and design quality is maintained. You will also troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the API platform, participate in root cause analysis for production issues, and contribute to grooming technical user stories impacting integration. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Java API Software Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure API solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop API specifications using OpenAPI/YAML for scalability and security.
  • Create and manage build and deployment pipelines for APIs with CI/CD integration.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of APIs, ensuring documentation remains current.
  • Collaborate with application teams to align API implementations with business needs.
  • Lead development reviews, ensuring quality, logging, monitoring, and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot API platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Exp erience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the technical field, or a combination of experience and education
  • 3+ years of experience in the development, and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions based on Java Technologies
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with design, development, and implementation of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, or Node.js-based Microservices


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills for collaboration with global teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in deploying microservices (Spring Boot, Node.js) using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka), and caching strategies.
  • Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth, SAML) and API management tools (Apigee, Swagger).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda and Step Functions.


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
