Architecture Student Intern
Myriad Genetics is a leading genetic testing and precision medicine company dedicated to advancing health and well-being for all. Our tests empower individuals with vital genetic insights and enable healthcare providers to better detect, treat and prevent disease.
Our tests are powered by an automated sequencing lab and software that covers a full hardware and software technology stack: robotics, automation, scientific compute, data pipelines, variant calling/interpretation (bioinformatics), data visualization, risk calculations (population genetics), electronic medical records (EMR), patient and doctor user experience (UX), and solving key workflow problems in large complex health systems. We are looking for Software Engineering Interns to work in the parts of this technology stack that they find most interesting and ship innovative software solutions to production to improve our ability to provide these critical genetic insights to providers and patients.
Responsibilities:
This is a REMOTE - WORK FROM HOME position with flex-work as an option if you are near a Myriad location. Candidates must be living in United States and must have green-card or US citizenship.
We are looking for self-motivated intern with backgrounds in Computer Science or Business major who are interested in joining our Architect to work on problems in this space.
We pair interns directly with an architect on our team.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the EA team in the selection of an enterprise architecture tool.
· Conduct vendor assessments, evaluations, and provide recommendations.
· Support the team in performing a proof of concept (PoC) with the selected EA tool.
· Gather and analyze requirements from various stakeholders (Tech and Biz)
· Document findings, processes, and recommendations.
· Participate in meetings and provide insights based on research and analysis.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Education & Experience:
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Previous internship or project experience in IT, software evaluation, or business analysis is a plus.
· Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and tools is desirable.
Skills:
· Strong analytical and research skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
