CACI is seeking a Software Engineer who will be a key member of our dynamic and forward-thinking AI research team. You will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our world-class scientists and engineers to create rapid prototypes and tools that showcase the groundbreaking capabilities emerging from our research efforts. With projects spanning the realms of machine learning and artificial intelligence, including computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and more, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation. Responsibilities:

  • Develop frontend and backend prototypes and tools utilizing AI and MI for our government customer

  • Develop and implement software enhancements to mission systems

  • Build scalable solutions to mission problems

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree.  Will consider experience in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance) required 

  • Understand the Software development life cycle (including front and back end)

  • AWS Experience (CDK, SAM, EKS) 

  • Proficiency with JavaScript and common frontend frameworks such as Angular and/or React

  • Backend development experience with common languages like Python, Java, Node.JS, C++, GO, Rust, etc.

  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying and managing AI applications

  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases, and message passing middleware such as Redis and Kafka

  • Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies 

  • Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to problems

  • Willing to work onsite with possible hybrid schedule

  • Willing and able to obtain a Top Secret or TS-SCI clearance with polygraph.  Current clearance preferred

Desired:

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts

  • An understanding of Gen AI tools, techniques, and platforms. 

  • Experience with deployment/scaling of machine learning models

  • Experience in integrating multiple applications

  • Experience with development in microservice based architectures

  • Experience

  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)

  • Security+ Certification

  • Active and current Top Secret or TS-SCI clearance, preferably with a recent polygraph

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
