Job Overview:
The IT Software Development Lead Manager will be responsible for leading a development team to successfully deliver software projects and software solutions. This role involves guiding team members, managing project timelines, and working closely with other stakeholders/departments to ensure that software solutions meet business objectives. This requires multifaceted skills and experience combining technical, managerial and leadership strengths.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a team of software developers by assigning tasks, setting deadlines, tracking progress while providing feedback and guidance to team members
· Oversee the design, development, and delivery of software projects with a clear vision of the project goals, requirements, constraints and translate them into technical specifications and architectures.
· Ensure the quality and performance of the software through code reviews and testing.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve project goals while understanding the needs, expectations and feedback of clients, users and sponsors and ensuring that the software solutions meet them.
· Manage project timelines and deliverables.
· Implement best practices for software development, including agile methodologies.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, monitor the performance, functionality and usability of the software solutions and fix any bugs or issues that arise.
· Acts not only as a planner and designer, but also as a coder and tester who can ensure the code is properly documented, reviewed and tested.
· Ability to select the appropriate tools, frameworks, and methodologies for a project, and ensure they are aligned with the best practices and standards
· Coordinate and integrate the software solutions with other systems, platforms and services to ensure they are compatible and operational.
· Foster a positive and productive team culture where developers can collaborate, learn and grow.
· Motivate and inspire the team while recognizing and rewards their achievements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally in fintech or tech/data/digital-related companies.
· 3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an IT software development team.
· Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Scrum.
· Availability to work outside regular hours to supervise team members located in other countries.
· Technical Skills: Agile methodologies, AWS, JAVA, Springboot, SQL, Software Architecture, CI/CD, among others.
· Competencies: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills; proven leadership and project management abilities; flexibility, innovation, and a strong sense of urgency.
