The Audience & Outcomes Backend team architects and develops the scalable, high-performance services that power our core analytics products. We are responsible for the critical API and service layers that bridge our product applications with the core data platform. Our mission is to abstract the complexity of our data middleware, transforming raw analytics into actionable insights and providing a flexible API platform for our product teams to build upon. We build and maintain the key backend services that empower our products to deliver audience analytics and campaign outcome reporting.
Our team's expertise lies in building modern API facades (REST/GraphQL), integrating with complex middleware, and deploying resilient infrastructure on AWS.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop web applications and services with high volatility and performance in a microservices architecture
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Front-End, and SRE teams, including participation in integration testing
- Gain a deep understanding of legacy code and architecture to design and implement new features
- Create, maintain, and take full ownership of applications and their code, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Learn new languages and frameworks quickly to meet evolving business needs
- Apply knowledge of full-cycle web development, software design, networking, and operations to adapt to new technologies
- Validate critical datasets and consumer-facing applications for accuracy and quality
- 6+ years of server-side web development experience
- Strong problem-solving mentality
- Knowledge of full-cycle web development systems, networks, software design, and operations
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate across the organization
- Experience with server-side systems handling high-volume datasets
- Knowledge of web system architectures requiring security, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience validating high-quality, consumer-facing applications and critical datasets.
- Experience with one or more of the following: PHP, Node.js, Python
- Experience with MySQL, Docker, Redis, AWS SQS/RabbitMQ, S3, Airflow, Lambda, OpenTelemetry, DataDog
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence

Target cash compensation range: $114,000 - 143,970 USD Annually
We are committed to providing competitive, market-informed compensation. The cash compensation above includes base salary, variable commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all full time iSpotters are eligible to participate in iSpot’s equity plan to receive stock options. Non-exempt roles will also be eligible for (pre-approved) overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are influenced by different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Hybrid & Flexible Workplace Policy
iSpot supports a hybrid and flexible workplace. Depending on location and work responsibilities, employees may be designated as full-time or part-time office-based or a fully remote employee. A hybrid work schedule indicates that you work in the office some days and work from home other days. The best hybrid workplaces allow for flexibility while also encouraging consistency.
Those local or living in surrounding areas to one of our offices (Bellevue, WA; El Segundo, CA; New York, NY) will work a hybrid schedule, coming into their local office 1-3 days a week. While those in a role, not office-based and located further away from our offices, will work a fully remote schedule.
