Who we are looking for
A Software Engineer, who will be responsible for developing, maintaining and evolving our sports trading desktop apps and services.
We are building our first technology team based in Denver, Colorado and are looking for talented technical experts to join our Trading and Tools Software Development team.
The trading team creates and configures sporting events, allowing customers to place bets before and during games. As well as trader activity, the team develops and supports the services to react to real time data feeds, providing instant feedback on events to both traders and customers.
The technology stack is predominantly Microsoft focused, specifically using the .NET framework and SQL Server. As a part of the role, there is also the opportunity to learn Go via our in-house training program.
The day-to-day work is interesting and challenging amidst a hardworking and delivery focused Company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technology's greatest challenges.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000 annually.
Preferred skills and experience
Commercial C# experience.
Commercial MS SQL Server experience.
Solid understanding of Windows applications and services.
Exposure to WPF.
Experience of Jira issue management, including Git version control.
Self-motivation and delivery orientated in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong team player.
Flair for problem solving.
Main Responsibilities
Developing highly efficient, robust, quality code for applications and services.
Maintaining clean coding practices.
Enhancing and supporting existing trading functions, some of which are used 24/7.
Supporting Product Owners as required.
Providing support to the testing team during testing phases of projects.
Contributing to solution proposals as required.
