BAE Systems is seeking a Software Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, develop, and sustain custom enterprise applications that enhance mission-critical messaging operations across a large-scale, secure environment. The selected candidate will lead the development of Enterprise Email and Mailbox tools, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with customer policies and operational requirements.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex workflow needs into scalable, maintainable software solutions that directly support national-level missions.

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- 16+ years of experience in software development supporting enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#/.NET, Javascript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with SQL and GIT
- Demonstrated experience developing tools that interface with Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint, or enterprise messaging systems.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, API integration, and automation frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
