  • Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, regression), static analysis, and security scanning into pipelines.

  • Ensure pipelines are performant, reliable, and scalable across multiple teams and applications.

  • Manage build artifacts and dependencies using artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory).

Release Governance & Quality
  • Establish and maintain release standards, documentation, and audit trails.

  • Partner with QA and Security teams to ensure releases meet quality, compliance, and security requirements.

  • Implement release metrics (build success rate, deployment frequency, MTTR, failure rate) and drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead root-cause analysis for build or release failures and implement preventative improvements.

Collaboration & Enablement
  • Work closely with Agile/PODS teams to align release processes with sprint and delivery goals.

  • Train and mentor developers on GitHub workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD best practices.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership on build, release, and DevOps strategy.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in build, release, or DevOps engineering roles.

  • Deep, hands-on experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions, pull request workflows, and repository governance.

  • Strong expertise in Git branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development, or hybrid models).

  • Proven experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.

  • Strong understanding of software versioning, dependency management, and release automation.

  • Experience supporting parallel release tracks (e.g., stable vs. advanced releases).

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with legacy-to-modern source control or CI/CD migrations.

  • Familiarity with containerization and deployment platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments (SOX, SOC, financial services).

  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

What Success Looks Like
  • Releases are predictable, repeatable, and low-risk.

  • Developers are confident and efficient using GitHub workflows.
