Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer who thrives on building high-impact business solutions. As a Staff Engineer at ePayPolicy, you will join a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial team where you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of the product, guiding development teams through the entire SDLC, and using your expertise with security and compliance to deliver cutting edge SaaS solutions to our clients. You will utilize your technical skills to evolve our product suite and user experience by designing scalable and maintainable solutions for complex financial systems for the industry we serve.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement elegant, scalable solutions for financial systems, directly impacting our business goals and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in solving the complex needs of our customers. You’ll be the architect of innovation, tackling performance requirements and scalability challenges head-on. 

  • Mentor and guide our talented development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. You will conduct code reviews, champion best practices, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional results.

  • Continuously explore the evolving world of technology, identifying and recommending efficient and effective solutions. You will be the driving force behind the adoption of new technologies, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the fintech revolution. 

  • Communicate with clarity and translate complex technical concepts in to easily digestible information for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven Expertise: 3+ years of experience as a Software Architect, ideally within fintech or financial services with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science. Certifications in software architecture, fintech, or PCI are valued.

  • Technical Prowess: A deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. Strong technical proficiency in C#, Knockout, jQuery, and React with a solid knowledge of databases and Azure.

  • Growth Mindset: A relentless pursuit of knowledge and a commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the ever-changing world of technology.

  • Leadership Excellence: A passion for leading and inspiring teams, driving technical excellence, and solving complex challenges with strategic problem-solving and decisive decision-making.

  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Financial Systems Acumen is a Plus: A strong grasp of financial systems, banking processes, payment gateways, and regulatory frameworks will be highly valuable in the role. Familiarity with compliance standards like PCI-DSS is a significant advantage.

We operate on a hybrid schedule for in-office employees. Standard schedules are three days per week in the office, however, the cadence and days are determined by each team and manager.
