ABOUT US
Terrabis is a leading privately held cannabis company with a bold growth strategy. Operating in both wholesale and retail, we’re at the forefront of the industry, setting new standards and pushing boundaries. Join us in shaping the future of cannabis.
JOB SUMMARY
Terrabis is looking for a creative, community-driven Social Media Specialist to help bring our brand to life across Instagram and TikTok, with secondary distribution to Facebook and X. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who lives and breathes social. Someone who can shoot, edit, design, write, and publish, and who knows how to translate brand values into scroll-stopping moments.
You’ll be joining a lean, collaborative marketing team where your work will have real visibility and real impact. You’ll partner closely with the broader marketing team to execute against the content strategy and grow our presence with content that genuinely reflects who we are.
Our brand voice is friendly, adventurous, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. Your content should feel the same way.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Channel Management
- Execute Terrabis’ social media content across Instagram and TikTok (primary channels), with repurposed distribution to Facebook and X
- Produce 20–30 posts per month, including 6–10 short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) and 15–20 static or graphic posts
- Shoot, edit, and design content, from concept to published post
- Maintain the monthly content calendar aligned to brand campaigns, product launches, promotions, and seasonal moments
- Apply a “create once, distribute across platforms” approach rather than creating platform-specific content for every channel
- Ensure all content adheres to Terrabis brand guidelines (color palette, tone, logo usage) and complies with cannabis advertising regulations on Meta, TikTok, and emerging platforms
Design Support
- Provide ongoing design support beyond social, including billboards, in-store signage, ad creative, and other brand assets as needed
- Translate the Terrabis brand into clean, on-brand creative across digital and physical formats
Community & Audience Growth
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments, DMs, and mentions to build genuine community connections
- Identify and engage with relevant conversations, local events, and cultural moments that align with our brand
- Grow follower counts and engagement rates through organic strategies
- Partner with Retail Operations to amplify in-store events, promotions, and drive-thru campaigns
Campaign Support & Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to support integrated campaigns across digital, retail, and wholesale channels
- Support influencer and partnership outreach, coordinating content swaps and co-promotions
- Assist with photography and content capture at retail locations and local events
- Contribute ideas to campaign brainstorms
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on key social metrics: reach, engagement, follower growth, and referral traffic
- Use data to optimize posting cadence, content formats, and channel strategy
- Stay current on platform algorithm changes, trends, and competitor activity
- Share insights and recommendations with the broader marketing team regularly
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–4 years of experience executing social media for a brand, agency, or in-house team
- Cannabis industry experience required. Must understand compliance sensitivity (no health claims, no platform violations) and Meta/TikTok cannabis restrictions
- Strong creative eye with hands-on experience producing short-form video (Reels, TikToks)
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or Photoshop/Illustrator) with the ability to support broader brand needs like billboards, signage, and ads
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across platforms and audiences
- Comfort with social analytics tools (native platform insights, Sprout Social, Later, or similar)
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage a content calendar independently
- Comfortable executing “spur of the moment” content opportunities — you can recognize a timely moment, grab a phone, and publish something on-brand without needing a brief
- Passion for community building and authentic storytelling
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, Nano Banana, or similar) for content ideation, copywriting assistance, and creative workflow — this is a must-have, not a nice-to-have
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in CPG, retail, or other regulated industries in addition to cannabis
- Experience with paid social campaigns or boosted posts
- Background working in a fast-paced, lean team environment
- Passion for wellness, nature, and the outdoors. You get the Terrabis vibe.
- Advanced fluency with AI-powered creative tools beyond the basics — ideally including experience using AI to accelerate content production, A/B test copy, or build repeatable workflows
