About Us

At Gesture we believe that the world has become overly transactional and, collectively, we have lost our focus on what really matters, meaningful connections. Our worldview marries the digital and organic side of life to establish balance and create meaningful moments that matter, shaping the future of how we interact with each other and the brands that help us express our unique identity.

What we are looking for

Like our product we aim to create a deeper sense of connection and meaning in the workplace. This starts with you. We believe that surrounding you with a team of amazing humans, providing you with opportunities to continuously grow, and working on a vision meant to make the world a better place makes our opportunity truly unique.

As our Social Media Intern, you’ll help shape the voice, vibe, and reach of Gesture across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond. You’ll be part strategist, part storyteller, part trend-chaser—with a strong dose of creativity and community intuition.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social platforms
  • Help manage the content calendar and draft captions/posts that are bold, authentic, and focused on creating deep connections
  • Brainstorm and produce TikTok/Instagram Reels, UGC-style content, and lo-fi video experiments
  • Monitor trends, hashtags, and creator content for real-time inspiration
  • Engage with our community through comments, DMs, and interactive stories
  • Track performance metrics and contribute ideas to optimize reach and engagement
Who you are
  • You live and breathe social—scrolling, posting, creating, experimenting
  • You’re currently studying (or recently graduated) Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
  • You’ve got strong copywriting skills and an eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling
  • You know your way around tools like Canva, CapCut, Later, or Instagram’s native editing suite
  • You’ve created content for a personal brand, student org, or side project—and have proof you can make people engage
  • Bonus: You’ve dabbled in influencer marketing, UGC, or paid social
Why Join Gesture
  • You’ll have real creative ownership, not just “intern tasks”
  • Mentorship from a highly collaborative marketing crew
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Hands-on experience building an emotionally resonant brand from the inside
  • A chance to help rewrite the rules of connection in an overly digital world
  • Professional development: Support for ongoing learning and career growth
  • $20/hour

How to Apply: Send us your resume and any samples of social content you’ve created—personal or professional.
