Role & Responsibilities: 

We are seeking a site reliability engineer with a focus on data to join our dynamic team. As a Site Reliability Engineer at Clarity Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our products.

The Individual MUST have knowledge and hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining observability and automation features for cloud based government systems.  The individual should have knowledge and experience in deploying or utilizing system and platform observability tools and identifying both cost and performance bottlenecks such as Elastic Observability, Prometheus/Graphana, AWS Cloudwatch/CloudTrail.  This labor competency is responsible to develop analytics based on artifacts, enrich data with various corporate sources, summarize data, and formulate results for downstream analytics and queries. This competency is required to deploy solutions to customer supported tools to automate and enable data and metadata analysis.  As a technical leader, this role is responsible for assessing, creating, and improving the quality, performance and reliability of existing SaaS, WebApp, and COTS GIS tool deployments.  Leadership duties include mentoring junior engineers, advising the customer on technical solutions and interacting frequently with peer engineering teams to foster a healthy collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of non-internship relevant experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years of relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience working with data structures, database management, distributed computing, and API driven architectures using SQL and No-SQL engines.
  • 1 year of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git, Jenkins, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Trivy
  • 1 year of experience contributing to software architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of both new and existing systems
  • MUST be eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret clearance.
  • MUST be eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Implements and practices DevOps Developer Enablement and helps more junior/less experienced engineers to do same
