Impact:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with Java/React.js skillset with expertise in Data Bricks and Data Lakes, particularly with Oracle integration, to join our dynamic SRE team. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in developing robust web applications using Java & React.js and a strong background in managing and optimizing data workflows within Data Lakes, leveraging Oracle databases. 

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automating processes, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100.000 to $110.000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Responsibilities 

  • Has ability to develop & support reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. 

  • Has willingness to learn new tools and technologies as per the project demand. 

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. 

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. 

  • Integrate front-end applications with backend services. 

  • Design and implement data architecture solutions using DataBricks and Data Lakes 

  • Work closely with data engineers to ensure smooth data flow and integration. 

  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes and workflows. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity and performance. 

  • Good to have Tomcat, Tomcat Apache server. 

  • Command on Linux & Unix. 

What we are looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field 

  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Java/React.js Developer 

  • Solid Experience in JAVA, JSON, REST, PL- SQL 

  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux, MobX, Flux) 

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs & micro services-based solutions 

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform 

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 

  • Experience with Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot etc.) 

  • Basic Knowledge of User Interface design & development using Angular, React, HTML5, XML & CSS 

  • Working knowledge in AWS cloud (EC2, ECS, Load Balancer, Security Group, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.) 

  • Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, particularly DataBricks and Data Lakes (e.g., Apache Hadoop) 

  • Proficiency in Oracle database technologies and SQL queries 

  • Understanding of data management and data architecture principles 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills 

 

 

Required technical skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience. 

  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in Technology (application development and production support). 

  • Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and successfully deploying critical and complex projects. 

  • Strong Java Core skills with experience in development of concurrent and distributed systems 

  • Advanced experience with Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot etc.) 

  • Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs & micro services-based solutions. 

  • Should have experience writing unit/integration tests. 

  • Experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of data model, python knowledge is a plus. 

  • Basic Knowledge of User Interface design & development using Angular, React, HTML5, XML & CSS 

  • Working knowledge in AWS cloud (EC2, ECS, Load Balancer, Security Group, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.) 

  • Experience in DevOps development and deployment using docker and containers. 

  • Good knowledge about Infrastructure and exposure to CI/CD. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • A full stack developer with a knowledge to develop and execute complex deployment scenarios. 

  • Solid Experience in JAVA, JSON, REST, PL- SQL. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies like SAFE. 

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
