Job Description SummaryThe Site Manager carries out for GE Vernova Customers the whole site project turnkey execution of the power plants in the respect of health, safety and environment, schedule, budget and contract obligations.
The Site Manager will drive execution and administrate the Gas turbine / Steam Turbine centerline, Power Island HRSG & BOP project comprising of 1 or 2 gas turbine & generator plus plant auxiliaries on a turnkey basis with a site budget.
He reports functionally to the C&C Site Management function Leader and operationally to the Project Manager.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the site team: Site Organization, Rules, Timely Mobilization /Demobilization of GE personnel.
  • Timely adapt/ optimize GE site organization in line with project execution and possible variation of hypothesis.
  • Provide the focal point contact for the Customer, Partner, Subcontractors if applicable on all site related issues, including technical advice, and construction execution strategies subcontractors, to ensure accomplishment of project / Customer requirements.
  • With support of GE staff (mechanical supervisor, electrical supervisor …) manage field execution including the management of subcontractor(s) (heavy lift, construction…) to ensure all project performance requirements, quality, EHS, schedule, and budget are achieved.
  • Manage site cost within budget (respect GE staff plan budget and subcontractor Lumpsum) , manage cost of quality, local purchasing process.
  • Set up EHS plan with EHS manager to ensure respect of EHS and LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) rules.
  • Review and monitor Site detailed schedule to ensure compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Provide on time and accurate site report of execution progress to project management.
  • Anticipate issues: Identify performance issues and analyze causes with support site team and implement risk mitigation and resolution actions.
  • Achieve high Customer satisfaction (respect of contract, of quality, of timeline and of adequate reporting).
  • Ensure TOP (Turn Over Process: transfer from construction to commissioning) and punch list process properly implemented and timely resolution of punch item with objective of limited outage and zero punch item at COD (Commercial Operation Date).
  • Ensure that existing Lessons Learned are applied and new ones captured.
  • Mobilize/demobilize GE site facilities, office equipment, utilities, security
  • Implement with site purchaser administrator site C&C administrative processes in alignment with local requirements.
  • In association with the GE Materials Manager, Manage and control all GE supplied and sourced material. Ensure the site Quality Program is implemented, preservation of equipments with support of the site quality manager.
  • Conduct all GE business activities on site in strict accordance with all Company integrity policies.
  • Administer field work orders, back-charges, change orders and claim avoidance as related to field activities in a fair win-win approach yet protecting GE interest.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Site management
  • Proven leadership experience on operational management on multi-discipline and/or multicultural teams
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical and organization issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage P&L / subcontracts
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
