The role
The Settlement Analyst is a key member of the Settlement Team within the Payments Center of Excellence (COE), responsible for ensuring that all transaction volumes are accurately processed and reconciled across multiple products. This is achieved through a three-point reconciliation process for each service, comparing vendor totals, Sponsor Bank charges, and Profile (core processing system) postings and exceptions.
Consistent communication with the Sponsor Bank, Finance Operations, and departmental management is expected to ensure that all reporting and discrepancy resolutions are completed accurately and within established timelines.
As part of a dynamic team, the Settlement Analyst provides high-quality service and effective operational support to both internal and external business partners. The role also involves providing guidance and training to junior team members. While independence in day-to-day responsibilities is expected, complex issues should be escalated to department management as appropriate.

- Collaborate with the Sponsor Bank to identify and resolve posting discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all variances and discrepancies.

- Exhibit flexibility, reliability, and strong time-management skills as a self-disciplined team player.
- Provide guidance, direction, and training to junior-level team members as needed.
- Exercise strong problem-solving abilities to identify, address, and overcome key operational challenges.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and analytical thinking to creatively resolve complex issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant banking or financial reconciliation experience.
- Strong understanding of financial operations and transaction flows within the banking environment.
- Proven ability to analyze data with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
