The Services Account Executive is responsible for expanding the services pipeline, achieving booking targets, managing sales strategies, and building client relationships, particularly in the Life Sciences and High-Tech sectors.
As a Professional Services Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our Global Services business by leading complex sales pursuits and closing high-value engagements. You will be responsible for shaping, managing, and executing comprehensive sales strategies that expands the services pipeline, achieves defined booking targets, and aligns with Model N’s business objectives.
Beyond driving sales execution, you will be accountable for building and nurturing trusted client relationships at the executive level, serving as a strategic advisor who understands your customer’s business priorities and translates them into actionable transformation initiatives. You’ll collaborate closing with Model N’s SaaS sales executives and work seamlessly with delivery supporting successful software and service transformations that create long-term client success.
Responsibilities
- Territory Management – Design and execute targeted sales strategies to expand the consulting services pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed booking objectives.
- Industry & Domain Expertise – Continuously build and apply deep industry knowledge while serving as a subject matter expert on Model N’s software and consulting solutions.
- Strategic Collaboration – Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Drive regular engagement to strengthen partnerships and positively influence customer success.
- Pipeline & Forecast Accuracy – Maintain precise and timely updates of opportunities, deal progression, and forecasts in Salesforce (SFDC) to enable reliable business visibility.
- Sales Execution – Own the full sales cycle from qualification through closure. Build compelling pursuit strategies, establish credible close plans, and lead cross-functional pursuit teams to secure high-value deals.
- Work Product Ownership – Create and deliver high-quality service proposals, executive presentations, and Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly articulate business value and outcomes.
- Commercial & Contract Management – Protect both client and Model N interests by negotiating effectively, documenting clear scope and terms, and ensuring alignment to minimize delivery risks.
- Thought Leadership – Contribute to industry credibility by sharing insights, best practices, and trends that influence clients’ strategic decisions and reinforce Model N’s market leadership.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a Client Partner or equivalent professional services delivery role.
- Experience selling into large enterprise Life Sciences and/or High-Tech customers and managing / negotiating larger enterprise deals.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sales strategies, negotiating complex, high-value agreements, and managing long sales cycles.
- Extensive background in program delivery, including solution design, program leadership, and consulting engagements.
- Strong ability to partner with software sales executives to attach consulting services to software deals and drive pipeline growth.
- Experience using Salesforce (SFDC)
- Ability to travel ~10-25%
