About the Role

SEO Specialists are a key part of the Sites department at FareHarbor. We host over 3,000 client websites and are always looking to help our clients grow their business by improving their organic search presence. In this role, you will use your SEO skills to audit our clients’ websites, develop optimization roadmaps, proactive craft website recommendations, and report on the success of your work. You will work with a wide variety of clients in the tourism industry, ensuring every day is a little different than the last and you have plenty of opportunity to hone your skills. 

FareHarbor’s business model requires that users utilize our software to book online. For this reason it is in FareHarbor’s best interest that our clients have websites that are easy to find, easy to navigate and that drive online conversions. As an SEO Specialist, you will work hand in hand with our Project Coordinators, Conversion Rate Optimization Specialists, Senior SEO Specialists, and SEO Strategists to hit deadlines, update websites with SEO recommendations, and proactively target sites that have high conversion opportunities. This role will work with a client portfolio to nurture, grow and report on by communicating and making changes that conform to modern and strategic SEO best practices. 

To be successful in this role you should have knowledge of user experience and SEO principles and their applications. In addition to SEO skills, you should be competent in using Google applications, and have exceptional written, communication and organizational skills. You will be working on multiple projects at one time and should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and self start. For this position you should also have an understanding of how websites are built and structured and an applicable understanding of how to make each site continuously successful YOY through strategic SEO analysis and reporting. This is a full time, hybrid position in our Denver office but is remote for the time being.

What you’ll do here:

  • Conduct SEO Audits of clients websites that include recommendations for keyword, technical, local and off-site optimizations.
  • Perform keyword research, local audits and competitive analysis
  • Understand and implement technical SEO audits and changes
  • Recommend and implement site migration strategies 
  • Track, report, and analyze the impact of SEO recommendations
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Client Stakeholders on SEO strategies
  • Communicate with clients through meetings, email, and tickets
  • Keep up to date with algorithm updates and SEO trends to keep our clients in the coveted ranking positions
  • Serve as the SEO expert/advocate within FareHarbor, sharing your knowledge with the FareHarbor sites department, Account Managers, FareHarbor Sites product team and more
  • Follow any specific instructions provided by Project Coordinators and SEO Strategists,  working with them to hit agreed upon deadlines and milestones for each project.
  • Think from the perspective of a customer to build SEO reports/audits that will promote the website to increase conversions.
  • Be an authority on our in-house developed WordPress theme and understand its limitations and restrictions (training will be provided for this)
  • Stay up to date with SEO website best practices and trends and implement when necessary
  • Work with the Product team to give feedback on features that already exist and ones that should be created.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in an SEO role developing and implementing SEO strategies
  • Experience with managing client portfolios and communications 
  • Recommended experience working with Excel, SEM Rush, Screaming Frog, MOZ
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Weebly, Wix, Joomla, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Wordpress, etc.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Data Studio
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Have the desire to improve and grow within the organization
  • Understand and stay up to date with website best practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Think critically and strategically on how to increase website conversions

Salary Range: $52,160-$78,240, plus 10% bonus potential
