Benefits: 2 Weeks Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance

Company Overview

Telescope Mapping is a boutique sales and marketing consultancy based in Denver, CO, serving clients in the US and in Canada. We work with both B2B and B2C businesses across a wide range of industries, including both products and services.

As a small, collaborative team, we believe in working with integrity, taking responsibility, staying curious, and approaching every project with creativity and compassion. Our mission is simple: to provide the highest level of service in our field and help businesses reach their full potential.

What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our customer service, and our approach to decision-making. We leverage data to inform all of our strategic decisions.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and highly analytical Technical SEO & Implementation Specialist to lead the implementation of paid and organic growth and conversion strategies for our clients. This a hybrid marketing and technical role, primarily focused on fortifying website performance and optimization. Development experience is a big plus in this role.

In this role, you aren’t just optimizing for AI and search engines; you are optimizing for human behavior and business outcomes by deploying strategies developed by the Telescope Mapping leadership team. We’ll be looking for input and execution.

The ideal candidate blends technical SEO expertise with a "performance" mindset by using data to identify why traffic isn’t converting and implementing the strategies to fix it.

This role requires a proactive individual who can manage remote deep-work with virtual collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Implementation: Translate high-level SEO roadmaps into actionable tasks, managing the day-to-day execution of technical, content, and authority-building initiatives
  • On-Page Building & Optimization: Execute and manage on-page enhancements across various CMS platforms and custom page builders, collaborating with developers when necessary
  • Technical Maintenance: Perform routine site health checks and immediate fixes to resolve crawl errors, broken links, and schema mark-up issues to ensure peak indexability
  • Website Performance Upkeep: Implement performance updates to improve Core Web Vitals, such as image compression, script management, and mobile-responsiveness tweaks
  • GBP Administration: Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles across multiple industries, ensuring all location data, posts, and imagery are accurate and updated using GBP, Yext and GatherUp
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain and update reporting dashboards in GA4, GSC, and Looker Studio, ensuring data integrity and highlighting performance trends for the strategy team
  • Conversion Optimization (CRO): Implement tactical "performance" updates to landing pages—such as CTA adjustments and layout tweaks to improve the ROI of existing organic traffic
  • Competitive Tracking: Regularly monitor competitor movements and search landscape shifts to provide the strategy team with data for proactive adjustments

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of professional, technical SEO and digital performance experience, ideally in an agency environment
  • Tech Stack: Working history with various page builders, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), CSS, .js, .php, .html, various hosting platforms and server environments
  • CMS Fluency: Experience optimizing within WordPress, Shopify, and other major platforms
  • Communication: Strong ability to present data-heavy reports in a clear, narrative-driven format
  • UI / UX: Experience building responsive pages and tools that are intuitive to users
  • High Ownership: A self-starter who treats client accounts like their own business
  • Colorado-Based: Must be located in Colorado
  • Internet: Must have access to high-bandwidth internet

Additional Consideration For Candidates With These Qualifications:

  • Experience setting up, diagnosing, and working within Google Tag Manager (GTM) for advanced event tracking
  • Off-page and local SEO experience
  • Experience crafting strategy, developing creative, deploying and evaluating Google Ad performance, including LSAs
  • Experience using various platforms, including Wordpress and Shopify

Work Environment & Expectations

  • You’ll report directly to one of two owners
  • Flexible working hours are allowed, as long as responsibilities are met
  • Must live in Colorado
  • We prefer team members to work during standard business hours to maximize collaboration (M-F)

Success Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Growth in Organic Conversions: Not just traffic, but the tangible leads/sales generated via search.
  • Ranking Improvements: Significant movement in high-priority, high-intent keyword categories.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintaining "healthy" site scores across all managed client domains.
  • Client Retention: Providing the insights and results that make Telescope Mapping indispensable to our clients.
  • Project Management: Approaching projects in an organized and timely manner, ensuring that target due dates are met
  • Speed & Accuracy of Implementation: How quickly and effectively strategic recommendations are moved from "planned" to "live"
  • Technical Site Health: Maintaining a high "Health Score" and minimizing errors across all client domains.
  • Data Reliability: Keeping client dashboards accurate, functional, and ready for review at any given time.
