Job Overview

Are you ready to lead an organization on both a regional level, but with an influential footprint on an multi-country level as our Senior Vice President, US West Region/Canada for KONE Americas?

As our Senior Vice President, US West Region/Canada, you will be an instrumental leader in driving profitable growth for all business lines (Service, Installation, and Modernization) in your dedicated geography. An area of focus is developing key business plans that align with our global strategy – implementing this on a local level and ensuring this is executed through full circle leadership. You will remain close to our customers to understand best engagement practices and nurturing the customer experience alongside your leaders. In addition to all of this – part of our mission and yours is to continue promoting a positive culture by accomplishing safety and quality goals to achieve customer satisfaction and profitable business results.

You will lead with success if you have a visionary mindset and possess a clear roadmap for the future, all while guiding the team along the way. In doing so, this would encourage creative thinking/innovation/and overall challenge to outside of the box thinking – this would mean encouraging those to take risks and learn quickly. In an ever changing environment, being adaptable and proactive will yield the highest results, but being strategic and quick in reaction will carry just as much weight. Amongst all else, being genuine, empathetic, and listening to understand others will ensure you are bringing an idealized influence to your teams.

Hiring requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or Related Field

  • MBA is a plus

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a data-driven and continuous improvement mindset. Strong critical thinking skills.

  • Influencing & Negotiation: Proficiency in negotiating, influencing, and operational management.

  • Leadership: Proven transformational change leadership at the enterprise level. Ability to build high-performance, diverse teams and foster strong engagement and culture.

  • Strategic Thinking – Excellent decision making and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Communication – Exceptional presentation, communication, and people skills.

  • Global Perspective – Experience leading operations across multiple countries, with a deep understanding of cross-cultural awareness and empathy.

  • Financial Acumen: Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and control principles. Proven history of driving business growth and profitability.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Labor Relations: Understanding of unionized workforces.

  • Business Partnering: Experience with business partnering across matrixed global environments.

  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, policies, contracts, and product offerings. Construction and Infrastructure, Automotive and transportation, Energy, Smart Building Technology, etc.

United States Annual Base Pay Ranges (Multiple potential locations):

  • The compensation package offered will depend on their ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.  

  • Los Angeles/Seattle location is $408,200.00 - $561,300.00 USD. 

  • Dallas / Denver / Minneapolis / Houston / Las Vegas / Portland / Sacramento / San Diego area hiring range: $379,800.00 - $522,300.00. 

  • San Francisco / San Leandro area hiring range: $443,800.00 - $610,200.00.

  • Kansas City / St. Louis / Phoenix / Salt Lake City area hiring range: $355,000.00 - $488,100.00.

Variable Compensation & Other Allowances

  • KONE 70/30 Annual Bonus plan at 40% Target Incentive based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.

  • You will also be eligible for an annual transportation allowance of $17,000.00 USD.

  • This role is also eligible for relocation.

  • Additional Executive Physical bonus outcome.
