The SVP & Head of Payor Solutions will lead the development, implementation, and growth of Mindoula's programs and partnerships with health plans and managed care organizations. This leader will ensure operational excellence, scalable growth, and optimal outcomes for payor-driven programs while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to advance Mindoula's mission, deliver measurable ROI, and improve health outcomes for complex populations.

In particular for payors, Mindoula assists in identifying populations and subpopulations with specific behavioral health, physical health, and social determinants of health challenges, through proprietary data analytics. Based on members' individual needs, we deliver a range of interventions that address interpersonal violence, suicidality, substance exposure (including for pregnant mothers), and serious mental illness treatment with physical health co-morbidities.  Through our own providers and care extenders, we deliver micro-to-marco behavioral health and SDoH interventions, both virtually and in-person, with 24/7 care team availability, and monitor member engagement to ensure and sustain results.  Mindoula contracts with payors across the country as both a licensed, credentialed value based provider, and a vendor to deliver our full range of services, including value-based care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Delivery and Outcomes

  • Lead Mindoula's Payor Solutions division, overseeing program optimization, program delivery, and strategic growth in partnership with national and regional payor organizations.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive set of KPIs across operational, financial, and clinical dimensions to ensure program quality, performance consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop repeatable, scalable processes for partner implementations, ensuring seamless onboarding, strong communication, target cohort growth, and long-term success.
  • Ensure rigorous internal monitoring and quality control standards that meet or exceed independent, client, and regulatory audits.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive Playbooks for all Payor Solutions programs, including policies, workflows, compliance standards, and training resources.
  • Collaborate with Chief Product Officer and other company leaders to continuously evolve Mindoula's care management platform and technology tools to drive operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and optimal care team enablement.
  • Partner with Chief Product Officer and the data science team to deliver robust ROI analysis to partners, adjusting program design and delivery based on this feedback to continuously improve program outcomes.

Growth, Partner Success, and Account Management

  • Drive expansion into new payor partnerships, markets, and program models through collaboration with the Sales team and executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with health plan partners through regular communication, robust data sharing, outcomes reporting, and joint problem-solving to demonstrate program value and outcomes.
  • Partner with sales, account management, program design, and business development colleagues to identify, develop, and launch new programs.
  • Serve as a thought partner and key contributor to Mindoula's overall growth strategy, collaborating across divisions to maximize impact.

Talent Management

  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing operational teams, including program and delivery, to achieve enrollment, engagement, quality, partner and member satisfaction, and outcome targets.
  • Partner with the President & COO, SVP of People Operations, and CFO to design talent development, career pathways, and incentive programs that foster team engagement, retention, and excellence.

Financial and Compliance Stewardship

  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance to develop, monitor, and manage the Payor Solutions budget and P&L.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and fulfillment of obligations for all payor partners across program implementation and delivery.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and Billing colleagues to ensure all documentation meets payor expectations for timely reimbursement; identify and solve new challenges as they arise with operational, financial, and technology colleagues.
  • Aggregate and synthesize data across partners to inform continuous program improvement, including in compliance, quality, health equity, and overall outcomes.

Leadership

  • Participate actively in company leadership as a member of the Senior Operational Leadership Team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure Payor Solutions success and support overall Mindoula business objectives.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, managed care, population health management, and payor/provider partnerships.
  • Deep experience scaling and managing multi-state population health programs.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in population health, managed care, value-based care models, alternative payment arrangements, case and disease management, behavioral health integration, and whole-person care.
  • Proven ability to lead large, geographically distributed teams in high-growth, complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue cycle oversight.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, data analysis, and healthcare analytics skills.
  • Comfort with healthcare technology platforms and systems, with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into product priorities.
  • Successful track record driving growth, building partnerships, and leading operational excellence.
  • Collaborative leadership style with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with clinicians, analysts, operations, and finance teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and change management skills with a hands-on, team-first orientation.
