Lead the design of a Radiology Reporting platform, overseeing UX strategy, team mentorship, and optimizing clinical workflows for improved user experience.
At the core of a successful medical product is a user experience that allows clinicians to focus on what matters most: the patient. Reporting directly to the VP Product, you will be a strategic partner in shaping our Radiology Reporting platform. In an environment where precision and speed are paramount, you will ensure that our software becomes an extension of the radiologist’s expertise. As we expand into Pathology and other healthcare verticals, you will lead the charge in defining the future of diagnostic workflows.
This role can be based in the US (100% remote, preferably Eastern Time) or in Munich, Germany (hybrid).
Your responsibilities:- UX Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end user experience, translating complex clinical needs into intuitive, high-performance interfaces. Turn early concepts (e.g., integrating Diagnostic Imaging AI outputs into reporting) into production-ready tools used daily in clinical practice. Monitor adoption post-launch, identify friction, and iterate until workflows truly fit routine use.
- Product Partnership: Work in a tight “triad” with Product and Engineering to balance user needs with technical feasibility and business goals.
- People Leadership: Lead and mentor our User Researcher and UI Designer (functional & disciplinary), building a culture of mentorship, high standards, and empathy.
- Clinical Workflow Optimization: Go deep on radiology (and later pathology) reporting workflows to reduce cognitive load and remove friction.
- User-Centric Advocacy: Ensure user insights and data meaningfully shape product decisions across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with a proven track record in complex B2B environments—ideally within HealthTech, MedTech, or Life Sciences.
- You are comfortable working in ambiguous, emerging problem spaces where workflows, mental models, and even terminology are still evolving.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in leading or mentoring designers. You know how to give constructive feedback and how to help your team grow.
- Healthcare Mindset: You understand (or are eager to learn) the nuances of medical imaging, DICOM standards, and the high-pressure environment of a hospital or diagnostic center.
- Tooling & Methodology: Mastery of modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and a solid foundation in user research methodologies and rapid prototyping.
- Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Benefits
- Be part of a growing healthcare technology company
- Ownership of a program that impacts global customers and patient safety
- A collaborative, mission-driven culture that values quality, trust, and innovation
- Flexible working hours and up to 100% Remote work possible
- Competitive compensation and benefits package depending on your location
