Rockstar is recruiting for a social platform and virtual world with millions of players around the globe who come to play, trade, socialize, and express themselves. The company has been building since 2013, is profitable, and the product has real, durable monetization. Now they are ready to pour fuel on the fire.

The Role

They are looking for an exceptional UA operator. This role demands a rare combination: a strong quantitative mind, excellent taste, and sharp strategic thinking. If the candidate has been the person their team trusts with its biggest spend decisions, they will get to exercise all three here every day.

The candidate will own specific paid UA channels end to end: Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, and TikTok. Their CEO runs UA alongside them and owns Facebook and other channels; they will operate as a two-person team scaling total spend to $500k/month and beyond, profitably. As the candidate proves out results, their channel ownership grows. This is not a "sit and monitor the dashboards" role. It's a "find the opportunity, make the argument with data, and deploy capital" role.

The candidate will be fully supported by world-class talent in data engineering, analysis, and creative. They will not be building pipelines or making ads themselves. Their job is to manage the channels, create the strategy, identify the opportunity, and own the outcome.

To be clear: this is not a seat on a big UA team with other managers to fall back on. It's the candidate, working directly with the CEO. There's no committee between them and the spend. The leverage is enormous, and so is the accountability.

One thing to know before applying: the company moves extremely fast, and this is not a place to coast. It's a place to push, challenge, and be challenged, including pushing back on leadership when the data says they are wrong. The candidate should come here if they are confident in their ability to execute and want a high risk, high reward environment where the upside is structured to match.

What the Candidate Will Do
  • Owns performance of their channels (Google, ASA, TikTok): strategy, structure, budgets, bidding, creative direction, and results
  • Scales monthly spend to $500k+ while holding payback targets. Growth that doesn't pay back isn't growth
  • Identifies and opens new channels and geos; kills what doesn't work without sentimentality
  • Runs structured creative testing loops with their creative team: concept, test, read, iterate
  • Masters their measurement stack: Singular MMP plus their own BigQuery-based attribution and LTV models. They trust their data over platform-reported numbers, and the candidate will too
  • Works directly with their data team to sharpen LTV curves, payback models, and geo/platform-level unit economics
  • Manages and holds accountable any external partners (agencies, vendors, pLTV/ML partners)
  • Reports performance to the CEO with specific numbers and clear recommendations. No fluff, no vanity metrics
What They Are Looking For
  • Proven experience managing $500k+/month in mobile UA spend, ideally well beyond. They have operated at the scale they are heading to, not the scale they are at
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Google App Campaigns, Apple Search Ads, and TikTok. Meta and SDK network experience is a strong plus, as they will expand
  • Fluency in mobile measurement: SKAN/AAK, MMPs, VO/AEO optimization, and incrementality. They can pull their own data, sanity-check an LTV curve, and spot when a "growth win" is actually low-value install volume dressed up in a nice CPI. They know why a $0.50 install can be worthless and a $5 install can be a steal
  • A hunter's instinct backed by total command of the current market: they know which creatives, formats, and channels are working right now, they find the arbitrage and the underpriced geo before the window closes, and they move on it
  • AI as a force multiplier: one person running multiple channels at this scale is only possible with aggressive AI leverage in their analysis, reporting, and workflow
  • Extreme ownership. They don't wait for direction, they bring the plan
  • Experience in mobile games, social apps, or virtual economies is a strong plus. Heavy bonus for knowing the product and audience: the best UA operators market the product, not just the channel
Why This Role Is Different
  • They work directly with the CEO, who runs UA themselves. No layers, no translation. Their analysis becomes budget decisions in hours, not quarters
  • Real money, real mandate. The company is profitable and funding this from strength. The goal is $500k+/month deployed well, not spend for spend's sake
  • A measurement stack that lets them be right. First-party BigQuery data, hybrid attribution, user-level LTV. They will make decisions on real economics, not platform self-grading
  • Heavily incentivized to succeed. Compensation is structured so that if they scale this profitably, they win big alongside the company
How to Apply

The process includes a take-home challenge built around a realistic channel-mix scenario. The company wants to see how the candidate thinks when the data is messy and the stakes are real. They read every application carefully, and when they see a fit, they move fast.
