Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong Java development background to lead and manage large-scale enterprise application initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies, driving cross-functional teams, and providing hands-on technical leadership in Java-based systems. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, Agile/Scrum leadership, and deep technical understanding to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of complex software solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Works as a Technical Project Manager to run Scrum of Scrum calls
  • Act as Scrum Master, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to development teams on Java architecture and best practices.
  • Track sprint progress, velocity, and KPIs using Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks proactively.
  • Support production releases, post-release reviews, and continuous optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong project/program management exposure.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master.
  • Strong hands-on or architectural experience in Java / J2EE.

Solid understanding of:

  • Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • SOAP and RESTful APIs
  • SQL & NoSQL databases
  • Data Bricks and ETLs
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing distributed and offshore teams.
