As a Technical Program Manager at teamLFG, you will support a new team as it works from preproduction through ship and into live support. In collaboration with the Production Lead, you will ensure we have backlogs that balance core technology requirements and stakeholder requests, ensuring we meet our quality goals on time and on budget. You will meet and exceed our production standards and best practices for your areas of ownership, proactively identifying potential problems and addressing them before they occur. You will also help the team stay aligned with overall project goals and priorities as we deliver on our game vision. Most importantly, you will work with a fun, dedicated, cross-discipline team united around our mission to create a positive impact in people's lives as we bring a new world to life.

Responsibilities

  • Drive stakeholder alignment and team execution of core technology deliverables in alignment with project priorities and in partnership with technical leads in your areas

  • Gather area, product, or program requirements from customers, ensuring they are tracked in the appropriate backlogs and (when viable) represented in the project roadmap

  • Drives successful delivery of area product, program, or goals, defining (and aligning with customers on) quality, risks, and expectations throughout

  • Create – and hold teams accountable for creating – comprehensive, viable production plans with a supporting, prioritized work backlog

  • Regularly communicate product, program, and area status and risks, providing visibility to stakeholders and leadership

  • Track and manage deliverable progress against budget, staffing, and business goals

  • Manage area risks and establish risk mitigations

  • Ensure team health, culture, efficacy and efficiency

  • Engage with external partners to explore, maintain, and integrate technology solutions

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

 Required Skills

  • Experience working in a Technical Production or Technical Program Management role with teams building foundational game technology or game engine capabilities

  • Ability to coordinate complex technical problem solving and decision-making

  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, build alignment across teams, and navigate complex organizational dynamics to move initiatives forward in an environment with multiple priorities and perspectives

  • Exemplary communication skills: comfortable working with all levels of management and staff; listening to, speaking with, and resolving conflicts amongst members of varied disciplines and external partners in a clear and efficient manner

  • Outstanding analytical skills: understand, simplify, and solve or seek the solution to any problem in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for technical and creative teams

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, including effectively leading a team through that ambiguity

  • Proficient in Project Management tools (e.g., JIRA or similar, etc)

 Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Experience with Unreal Engine development

  • Completed a large-scale console or PC game cycle from start to finish, or two or more non-game project cycles

  • Experience working in a live service environment

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$175,000$263,000 USD
