Step into a high-impact role with Hitachi Energy’s Power Conversion Solutions team as a Technical Sales Engineer for North America. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, working with cutting-edge converter technology and collaborating with customers, sales teams, and partners to drive energy transformation. How you'll make an impact
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to system integrators, developers, and EPCs
- Lead compelling technical presentations that showcase the value of PCS Converters and MV solutions
- Collaborate with sales and tender teams to craft winning technical proposals
- Guide new leads through the PCS partner program to become successful channel partners
- Represent our technology at industry events and trade shows across North America
- Provide valuable insights to Business Development and Product Management for future innovation
- Deploy technical tools that empower partners and build trust in our converter technology
- Define and verify solution designs in close coordination with tendering teams
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus on Power or Energy Systems
- Three years of experience in power system operations at both utility and industrial levels.
- Five years of experience working with utility-scale power converters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or renewable energy technologies.
- Proven track record in technical engineering and sales, ideally in converters or energy storage
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and align stakeholders
- Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality technical support in a fast-paced environment
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
