The Senior Tax Manager will review complex tax returns, manage clients, develop tax strategies, mentor associates, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Successful candidates should have the following:
- 7+ years of public accounting experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Possess a broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in a particular area(s) of partnerships, HNW individuals, corporate, taxation of pass-throughs, entities, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and/or financial planning.
- Ability to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entries
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields
- A CPA certification is required
- Strong technical expertise in tax preparation and review, tax compliance, and tax research
- Excellent skills, analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Excel, Word, and CCH Axcess
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, fostering client and staff relationships
A day-in-the-life basic overview includes:
- Responsible for the review of high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, gift and estate returns, trust preparations, joint ventures, noncorporate entity tax returns, combined state tax returns, and tax compliance.
- Review very complex individual tax returns.
- Manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients
- Work closely with tax partners and other tax staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities
- Maintain active communication with clients to manage their expectations, ensure client satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
- Consult, collaborate with, and service clients to make recommendations on business and process improvements, and serve as a business adviser to clients
- Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation
- Preparing year-end projections
- Researching various Tax issues
- Mentoring Associates and guiding them on Tax issues
- Maintaining presentation skills (oral and written)
