Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accounting Manager to join the Tax Department of a Fortune 200 technology company at a pivotal moment in its evolution. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated tax matters in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing income tax accounts, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and collaborating with senior leadership to prepare financial statement disclosures, including board presentations. This position is part of a highly collaborative team specializing in income tax, sales & use tax, and property tax.
QualificationsRequired Skills
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent); CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: 5-6 years of corporate tax provision and compliance experience in public accounting and/or a multinational company.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of ASC 740 and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Proficiency in Excel, including experience building complex financial models.
- Experience managing global income tax provision processes and effective tax rate analysis.
- Ability to analyze tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, including purchase accounting adjustments.
- Communication & Leadership:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present tax-related financial disclosures to senior leadership.
- Experience coordinating with external auditors on tax accounting matters.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with tax software such as Longview, CorpTax, and Alteryx.
- Exposure to OneStream, Orbit Analytics, or similar financial applications.
- Experience maintaining key tax-related controls and reviewing tax footnotes for financial statements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
