The Leidos Corporate Tax Department is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team of tax professionals supporting our Corporate Office located in Reston, VA.  This position will report to the International Tax Manager.  The candidate should be a strong communicator, detail oriented, a team player who enjoys tax and is interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and reconcile foreign tax accounts on a monthly basis
  • Gather and analyze data from various systems: general ledger, contracts, etc.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and local service providers to support local tax filing requirements
  • Respond to foreign tax notices and audit inquiries
  • Assist with quarterly foreign tax provision responsibilities
  • Prepare quarterly transfer pricing analysis using intercompany transaction data
  • Review various foreign tax returns prepared by external service providers
  • Maintain calendar of foreign tax filings
  • Assist in the preparation of miscellaneous tax filings as needed
  • Process foreign tax payments and obtain officer signatures on tax filings
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 4+ years of experience related to tax accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
  • Exceptional project management skills are required, with proactive process improvement experience.
  • Strong accounting skills, including demonstrated ability in account reconciliations
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be flexible with strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Must have ability to prioritize workload in order to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be organized and demonstrate problem solving ability
  • Must be comfortable with virtual communications and working with geographically disparate groups
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, yet understand and apply the degree of accuracy necessary for the task at hand

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or Master’s Degree in Taxation
  • Experience with Deltek, Costpoint, Hyperion and OneSource are a plus
  • Energetic and have a high sense of urgency while working on projects
  • A quick learner who is willing to take on new challenges and roles
  • A high level of confidence, detail orientation, integrity, self-motivation, and a hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Self-starter, creative, team player, and positive attitude

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
